Fixflo Product Updates January To June For Block Management
It's been a big year for block management agencies using Fixflo — we've released a raft of new features over the last 6 months designed to make managing your assets easier.
Looking for a recap of our biggest hits, to make sure you're making the most of Fixflo? Read on.
1. In-hours reactive contractors on Fixflo's Contractor Marketplace
Access vetted, certified contractors when things go wrong
When you assign an issue or request a quote in Fixflo, you'll have the option to give the task to one of our trusted, vetted contractor networks—Nirvana and Ground Up—for transparent rates. Contractor Marketplace's nationwide coverage gives you access to a vast network of reliable contractors across multiple trades, with strict SLAs so you know you'll get top-quality service.
2. Multi-director quote approval
Managing approval requests from multiple directors can be exhausting. Endless emails, manual follow-ups, and uncertainty about approvals slow down property maintenance and add unnecessary stress.
Our new multi-director approval feature transforms this tedious task into a seamless, automated experience.
How does it work?
- Direct quote submission: Send contractor quotes straight to all directors for their approval from within Fixflo.
- Automatic tracking: Effortlessly monitor approval statuses without needing email chasers.
- Clear audit trails: Every vote, comment, and approval decision is transparently recorded.
- Flexible approval management: Set approval deadlines and provide directors with all necessary documentation in one place.
- Agent intervention: Progress approvals on behalf of directors when needed, keeping your maintenance process agile and uninterrupted.
3. Changes to periodic invoicing on service agreements
Previously, jobs generated from service events attached to service agreements required an invoice for each job. Now, contractors can invoice for a period of time, such as a month's worth of work, giving you more flexibility in how you work.
We’ve also introduced powerful controls to help you manage periodic service agreements more flexibly. The following new statuses allow you to make service agreements editable or locked, giving you an extra layer of security and tracking.
- Draft: Fully editable and visible only to your team.
- Published: Locked for editing and shared with contractors. Becomes Active on the start date.
You can unpublish an agreement to edit it again right up until the first invoice is attached, at which point you will need to cancel the service agreement and create a new one.
4. Changes to how remedial works function
Sometimes remedial actions created in Fixflo don't need immediate attention — whether they're C3 'improvement recommended' actions in an EICR, or just duplicated items clogging up your dashboard. We've changed this, so you can now mark a Service Event as complete if you have an attached remedial task of a priority lower than 'Urgent'. The remedial task will remain open for you to address at a later date.
We've got lots of big updates coming to Fixflo throughout the rest of the year, so keep your eyes peeled for more announcements in the coming months!
