Effective property management is built on the bedrock of compliance. However, for many agencies, managing gas safety certificates, EICRs, and PAT testing remains a manual, fragmented process.
To address this, Fixflo recently hosted a webinar featuring Fixflo’s Rezwan Ali and Madeline Faulkner, Software Trainer at Alto. They explored the evolution of the Fixflo and Alto partnership: a seamless integration for planned maintenance.

Moving beyond the spreadsheet
For years, property managers have relied on manual workarounds and calendar reminders to stay compliant. This leads to admin overload, human error, and limited visibility across teams.
The latest upgrade to the Fixflo and Alto integration eliminates these bottlenecks by creating a single source of truth. Whether you are dealing with reactive repairs or long-term compliance events, data now flows in real time. This means no more switching between tabs, and between your CRM and your maintenance software, just to see if a job is moving forward.
How the integration works
The cooperation between the two systems is designed to minimise manual data entry. Here’s how it can help:
- Automated instruction: Compliance tasks can be automated via Fixflo’s compliance matrix, pulling landlord and property data directly from Alto.
- Contractor sync: When a contractor completes a job in Fixflo, they upload the certificate and invoice and set the new expiry date.
- Alto updates: This information, including the certificate and completion photos, is automatically pushed to the Media and Works Order sections in Alto.
- Financial alignment: Invoices are synced with the purchase ledger in Alto, keeping the accounts team in the loop without having to chase the property manager.

The benefits of a synced workflow
The integration brings immediate value to both letting and property management teams. First and foremost, it ensures data continuity. Tenant, property, and contractor details are mirrored across platforms, so you never have to enter the same information twice.
Furthermore, the automatic certificate sync ensures that as soon as a document is uploaded to Fixflo, it is stored in Alto. This creates a robust, time-stamped audit trail for legal peace of mind. Finally, the real-time status updates provide greater confidence in your compliance data, giving management a clear view of the entire portfolio's health.
Who can access the integration?
The baseline integration is available to all users of both Fixflo and Alto at no additional cost.
- Fixflo Professional & Manager tiers can utilise the full planned maintenance features immediately.
- Fixflo Basic & Essential users may need to upgrade to a higher tier to access the full automation benefits.
- For Alto users, the integration can be activated directly within the Alto “Integrations” tab by selecting the Fixflo partner.
Final thoughts
The partnership between Fixflo and Alto isn't about providing options. By connecting a powerful CRM with a specialised maintenance tool, agencies can reduce the manual heavy lifting that often leads to compliance slips.
