Fixflo Report 2017 Released

Written by Ben Gallizzi | 20/09/17 09:00

In case you’ve missed our emails, social media updates and Raj collaring passersby in Vauxhall and shouting the key statistics at them, we’ve just released the 2017 Fixflo Report. That means we’ve collated all the responses to the Rental Repairs Survey that we run on an annual basis, combined them with data from the Fixflo system and run analysis to provide a clear and complete picture of the state of the lettings industry, what its challenges are and what its future might hold.

As ever, the Report provides fantastic insight as far as the industry as a whole is concerned. Although the respondents are all lettings professionals, we are also able to gauge the needs and habits of tenants in terms of the way they’re responding to repairs and maintenance management software.

Chief among our findings this year is the reiteration that agents consider the lettings fee ban to be their most significant challenge in the coming months, and that repairs per property per year have risen since our last Report - now, the average is just over four repairs, which is a significant increase. This is great news for those using systems like Fixflo, because managing more repairs shouldn’t become a time-consuming issue that affects other parts of the business.

We also find out how agents rate the different methods of managing repairs and how efficient they feel they are at dealing with those repairs...and much more! The Report was comprised of answers from nearly 400 lettings professionals from around the UK to ensure a varied set of opinions and experiences, which are reflected in the results.
