Panel discussion questions:
- What is the legislative framework that property managers need to be aware of for dealing with grounds maintenance?
- What are the ramifications for high-end developments where grounds maintenance requirements are not met?
- What plant species, like Japanese Knotweed, are considered problematic and what are the main things to look out for? What happens if you ignore, or even worse, try to hide them?
- Tree Protection Orders – what do they mean? How do you find out if a tree is protected? Who should pay for overhanging trees — the owners of the root system of the person affected by the overhang?
- How can you (cost-effectively) increase biodiversity in the blocks you manage?
- How can you plan a garden so that it looks good through the seasons?
- What are the practicalities of doing grounds work for big estate properties with wildflowers/bees/SUDS?
