With reports of rent arrears stacking up and a growing backlog of possession claims caused by the Covid-19 crisis, the need for effective mediation is ever greater both for the landlord who wants to generate income from their property quickly and the tenant who has fallen behind on rent payments and willing to get back on track. Through facilitated conversations, a highly emotive dispute can often be resolved without a long legal timeframe and eyewatering litigation costs.
Mediation and redress specialists Sean Hooker, Head of Redress, Property Redress Scheme (PRS) and Mike Morgan, Legal Division Manager, Hamilton Fraser presented a masterclass all about mediation.
